1. Firewater Kitchen & Bar

Firewater Kitchen & Bar is my personal favorite restaurant in Deep Creek. The menu is creative, the food is fresh and delicious and the presentation is amazing. This restaurant is located in the Oakland part of Deep Creek Lake, not far from Lakeside Creamery and the Honi Honi. The food at Firewater is delicious and their menu is creative but classic. Besides having an incredible menu, the location and atmosphere is stunning.

Firewater Kitchen & Bar is a lakefront restaurant, with outdoor dining facing the water. There are transient docks for those who want to come by boat for dinner. The most prominent feature of the restaurant’s aesthetic is a gas fireplace that runs the entire length of the dining patio. The restaurant itself has large bay windows facing the water that open up to let in the fresh lake air.

In the summer, Firewater has live music under its outdoor pavilion. Large heaters on the patio help extend their outdoor dining well into fall and early spring.

The feature that makes Firewater stand out amongst all of the other restaurants in Deep Creek is their amazing craft cocktail menu. Firewater’s craft cocktails are some of the best in Deep Creek. The cocktail menu changes with each season, featuring creative and delicious seasonal flavors.

The drinks not only are delicious and creative, but they are visually stunning. Each drink has its own specialty presentation- whether it is a perfectly roasted marshmallow on the side of the cup, or dried fruit attached with a mini clothespin. If you can’t make it for dinner, definitely stop by for one of their craft cocktails.

One thing to note, Firewater Kitchen & Bar is not very kid-friendly. They don’t have a kids menu and with the exception of their smash burger, the rest of the menu doesn’t have any kid-friendly dishes. Make this your much-needed adults night out!

Firewater has a lot of outdoor seating, but the restaurant itself is small inside. This can make the wait for tables long in the winter when there are no outdoor options. It can also make it harder to dine as a large party during the cold months. Join the waitlist online before you come!

2. Ace’s Run Restaurant

Ace’s Run is a fabulous all-around restaurant in Deep Creek. The food is delicious and they have a large menu to choose from, including a great kids menu. They also offer some great gluten-free options, including their amazing gluten free corn bread. Ace’s Run is located in the Oakland part of Deep Creek Lake, right next door to Firewater Kitchen & Bar! They share both their parking lot and transient boat docks with Firewater.

Ace’s Run is lakefront and has deck seating overlooking the water. Wednesday nights are all you can eat pasta nights. The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate large parties. A wall of windows inside the restaurant overlooks the lake and it is very clean and updated. They also have a fabulous cocktail menu.

3. Dutch’s at Silver Tree

Dutch’s at Silver Tree is the most upscale restaurant in Deep Creek. The restaurant is located inside the beautiful Suites at Silver Tree hotel in the Oakland part of Deep Creek Lake. The restaurant is lakefront with transient docks if you want to arrive by boat. You will dine overlooking the lake both indoors and outdoors. The restaurant’s back wall is all windows, overlooking Deep Creek Lake.

There is outdoor dining on a large lakefront patio. A playground is just off of the patio for your children to play at while they wait for their food. The patio dining is also dog friendly! They have dog treats in jars lining the patio and dogs are welcome anywhere outside.

The Harbor Bar is also located outside on the patio with a great cocktail menu. In the summer, there is live music outdoors.

Dutch’s food is delicious, and there is a large menu to choose from. One of the only downsides of Dutch’s is the price. It is the most expensive restaurant in Deep Creek. The dinner menu is very pricey, but good for special occasions. If you are looking to spend a little less, the lunch menu at Dutch’s is more affordable and just as delicious! 4. Mountain State Brewing Company

Mountain State Brewing Company is not just a brewery, it is a restaurant that offers a wide variety of delicious food items. It is located in the McHenry part of Deep Creek Lake, not far from Wisp Resort.

The most popular food on their menu, and the one they are most known for, is their flat-bread pizzas. Their pizzas are amazing and all named after local destinations and ski slopes. You can order a large pizza for the whole family or individual personal size pizzas.

I always order the North Camp, which is a white pizza with grilled chicken. My husband always gets Fire On The Mountain, which is a spicy pizza with banana peppers, sausage, pepperoni and a chipotle sauce. Mountain State Brewing Company offers gluten free crust for all of their pizzas!

Besides the fabulous food, the outdoor dining has a spectacular view! Although it is not lakefront, the patio dining overlooks the mountains which is very pretty, particularly in summer and fall.

In the winter, Mountain State offers Igloo Dining on their patio! This is such a fun experience. The igloos are heated and have festive winter decor and lighting, making this a must do activity in winter! Reservations are required for igloos, and they do book up. Mountain State is a brewery, so there is an incredible selection of IPAs. They do have a large cocktail menu, too. Mountain State hosts Trivia Night on Thursday nights.

The only downside to Mountain State Brewing Company is that there is usually a long wait for tables. They do not take reservations, and in the height of the tourist seasons, you will most likely have to wait for seating.

5. Uno’s Restaurant Bar & Grill

Uno’s Restaurant Bar & Grill in Deep Creek is independently owned and has a different menu than the standard Uno’s Pizza chain. This restaurant is located in Oakland, adjacent to the Honi Honi.

The Uno’s menu is extensive and has something for everyone! They have several gluten free options on their menu, and their gluten free pizza is by far the best I have ever had. However, this is not just a pizza place. I would even say that most people come here for food other than pizza!

Uno’s has the best location in Deep Creek out of all the restaurants. It has an expansive lakefront lawn, with patio dining, a large playground, drink tents, corn hole, and a huge elephant that everyone loves to climb. There are a lot of transient docks and it is the place to go in the summer by boat for food and drinks.

Besides the patio dining, there is a large deck and gazebo upstairs offering an abundance of outdoor tables. The adjacent Honi Honi Bar offers table service from Uno’s as well. The Honi Honi has live outdoor music throughout the day and evenings in the summer, so if you are dining outdoors at Uno’s, you will be entertained by the bands as you eat.

If you are dining in the winter, the restaurant has a wood burning fire place that gives off warmth and cozy mountain vibes.

Uno’s is certainly the best family-friendly restaurant in Deep Creek. Besides having a great kids menu, the playground and large grassy area to run around make it a kid-haven.

6. Pawn Run

Pawn Run is the oldest bar in Deep Creek Lake. It was renovated a few years ago, and is now a restaurant and bar. Pawn Run has some pretty amazing craft cocktails, just as good as Firewater’s! The food at Pawn Run is also very delicious! Their menu is smaller than most of the restaurants on here, but their food is high quality and fantastic. Pawn Run has live music in the restaurant which adds to the ambience.

7. Moonshadow

Everything about Moonshadow is creative. From the menu, to the restaurant decor!

The menu offers a wide variety of foods, including vegan and gluten free options and a kids menu. Their brunch menu is amazing and in my opinion, the best brunch on the lake!

The restaurant does feature some outdoor dining, but it doesn’t have lake or mountain views from the patio. The inside of the restaurant has an eclectic country decor. They use different style tables and chairs to tie in their eclectic and rustic style.

8. Brenda’s Pizzeria

Brenda’s Pizzeria is a Deep Creek staple and the go-to place for pizza in Deep Creek. They are most known for their gigantic 26″ Abbondanza pizza! It is so big it will need to go in the trunk of your car for carry-out! Perfect for feeding large families!

Brenda’s is located in the Oakland part of Deep Creek Lake on Rte 219. The restaurant is directly across the street from the lake, and offers lake views. There are transient docks at the lake for Brenda’s, so you can arrive by boat!

Brenda’s Pizzeria offers dine-in and carry out. The only downside to this restaurant is the wait times. Its popularity on the lake makes it hard to get pizza during prime dinner hours. TIP: Schedule your carry-out pizza order early in the day! You can order online and schedule your time for pick up that evening. Trust me when I say don’t wait until dinner time to order!

9. Pine Lodge Steakhouse

If you are looking for a good steak, the Pine Lodge Steakhouse is the place to go! Pine Lodge Steakhouse has delicious food and drinks and the ambiance has the cozy mountain cabin vibes which adds to your meal! There is a kids menu, so something for everyone in your family!

10. Cabin Lodge Grill

The Cabin Lodge Grill is located in between Lakeside Creamery and Deep Creek Donuts. They share the same parking lot and the same transient boat slips. While this is not a traditional dine-in restaurant, it has to be on our Top 10 list because all of their food is incredible! They are most known for their delicious Hot Nashville Chicken Sandwich and their fresh cut french fries.

Cabin Lodge Grill is classified as fast-casual because, unlike fast food, they cook your meal to order. You order from a window, and then take your food to eat at the lakefront picnic tables.

I recommend placing your order online before you go to cut back on your wait time. This is a popular place, especially in the summer. If you are out on the boat and hungry for lunch, this is the perfect place to get food and take it back out on the boat with you!
