Whether you are on a girls trip, a family vacation, or a romantic weekend getaway, there is something for every occasion. Below are the best restaurants in Deep Creek, Maryland-each one hand-picked for its food, atmosphere and experience.
Best Restaurants in Deep Creek Maryland
Firewater Kitchen & Bar
Located in the central part of Deep Creek Lake, Firewater Kitchen & Bar, is a lakefront restaurant, with a stunning outdoor patio that faces the water. Boaters can pull up to one of the transient docks to dine.
Firewater’s most iconic feature is the long gas fireplace that runs the length of its outdoor dining space. In the summer, there’s live music under the outdoor pavilion, and in spring and fall, patio heaters keep things toasty.
But what really sets Firewater apart? Their craft cocktail menu. It changes seasonally, with creative and visually stunning drinks. You’ll find everything from roasted marshmallow garnishes to dried fruit clipped on with tiny clothespins. Even if you’re not hungry, it’s worth stopping in just for a drink.
While there’s plenty of outdoor seating, the indoor space is more limited. In colder months, expect longer wait times–especially if you’re dining with a larger group.
Pawn Run Bar & Kitchen
Dutch’s at Silver Tree
Dutch’s at Silver Tree is considered the most upscale dining option in Deep Creek Lake. Located inside the beautiful Suites at Silver Tree hotel in Oakland, this lakefront restaurant offers beautiful views and the convenience of transient docks if you prefer to arrive by boat. Whether you’re dining indoors or out, you’ll enjoy stunning lake views–thanks in part to a wall of windows that spans the entire back of the restaurant.
The lakefront patio offers outdoor dining during warmer months, and it’s both kid and dog friendly. There’s a playground just steps from the patio where kids can play while waiting for their food, and dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor area–complete with jars of dog treats!
The Harbor Bar, also located on the patio, has a great cocktail menu and hosts live music in the summer.
Dutch’s offers a large, high-quality menu–but it does come at a cost. It’s the priciest restaurant in Deep Creek, making it perfect for special occasions or date nights. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, consider coming for lunch. The lunch menu is just as good, at amore affordable price.
Ace’s Run Restaurant
Ace’s Run Restaurant & Pub is a fabulous all-around restaurant in Deep Creek, offering something for everyone. The menu is large, featuring delicious options for all ages–including a kids menu and a variety of gluten-free dishes. don’t miss the gluten free cornbread–it’s a guest favorite!
Located inside the Will O’ The Wisp condos in the Oakland area of Deep creek, Ace’s Run sits right next to Firewater Kitchen & Bar. The two restaurants share both a parking lot and transient boat docks for easy lake access. The restaurant is lakefront, with a large deck overlooking the water–perfect for sunset dinners or a relaxing lunch by the lake.
Inside, the space is large enough to accommodate big groups, making it great for family gatherings. A wall of windows offers beautiful views of the lake.
Mountain State Brewing Company
Mountain State Brewing Company is not just a brewery, it is a restaurant that offers a wide variety of delicious food items. It is located in the McHenry part of Deep Creek Lake, not far from Wisp Resort. The most popular food on their menu, and the one they are most known for, is their flat-bread pizzas. Their pizzas are amazing and all named after local destinations and ski slopes. You can order a large pizza for the whole family or individual personal size pizzas.
I always order the North Camp, which is a white pizza with grilled chicken. My husband always gets Fire On The Mountain, which is a spicy pizza with banana peppers, sausage, pepperoni and a chipotle sauce. Mountain State Brewing Company offers gluten free crust for all of their pizzas!
Besides the fabulous food, the outdoor dining has a spectacular view! Although it is not lakefront, the patio dining overlooks the mountains which is very pretty, particularly in summer and fall.
In the winter, Mountain State offers Igloo Dining on their patio! This is such a fun experience. The igloos are heated and have festive winter decor and lighting, making this a must do activity in winter! Reservations are required for igloos, and they do book up. Mountain State is a brewery, so there is an incredible selection of IPAs. They do have a large cocktail menu, too. Mountain State hosts Trivia Night on Thursday nights. The only downside to Mountain State Brewing Company is that there is usually a long wait for tables. They do not take reservations, and in the height of the tourist seasons, you will most likely have to wait for seating.
Uno’s Restaurant Bar & Grill
Uno’s Restaurant Bar & Grill in Deep Creek is independently owned and has a different menu than the standard Uno’s Pizza chain. This restaurant is located in Oakland, adjacent to the Honi Honi.
The Uno’s menu is extensive and has something for everyone! They have several gluten free options on their menu, and their gluten free pizza is by far the best I have ever had. However, this is not just a pizza place. I would even say that most people come here for food other than pizza!
Uno’s has the best location in Deep Creek out of all the restaurants. It has an expansive lakefront lawn, with patio dining, a large playground, drink tents, corn hole, and a huge elephant that everyone loves to climb. There are a lot of transient docks and it is the place to go in the summer by boat for food and drinks.
Besides the patio dining, there is a large deck and gazebo upstairs offering an abundance of outdoor tables. The adjacent Honi Honi Bar offers table service from Uno’s as well. The Honi Honi Bar has live outdoor music throughout the day and evenings in the summer, so if you are dining outdoors at Uno’s, you will be entertained by the bands as you eat.
If you are dining in the winter, the restaurant has a wood burning fire place that gives off warmth and cozy mountain vibes.
Uno’s is certainly the best family-friendly restaurant in Deep Creek. Besides having a great kids menu, the playground and large grassy area to run around make it a kid-haven.
Moonshadow
Everything about Moonshadow is creative. From the menu, to the restaurant decor!
The menu offers a wide variety of foods, including vegan and gluten free options and a kids menu. Their brunch menu is amazing and in my opinion, the best brunch on the lake!
The restaurant does feature some outdoor dining, but it doesn’t have lake or mountain views from the patio. The inside of the restaurant has an eclectic country decor. They use different style tables and chairs to tie in their eclectic and rustic style.

Brenda’s Pizzeria
Brenda’s Pizzeria is a Deep Creek staple and the go-to place for pizza in Deep Creek. They are most known for their gigantic 26″ Abbondanza pizza! It is so big it will need to go in the trunk of your car for carry-out! Perfect for feeding large families!
Brenda’s is located in the Oakland part of Deep Creek Lake on Rte 219. The restaurant is directly across the street from the lake, and offers lake views. There are transient docks at the lake for Brenda’s, so you can arrive by boat!
