Best Heated Items for Cold Weather

It does get frigid in Deep Creek in the winter, and I am always cold. Over the years, I have invested in these heated products and they have been a game changer! I actually own and use all of these products below and it has been an ongoing joke in my family how “plugged in” I am when I am skiing. But honestly, I am toasty warm the whole time, so the joke is on them! 🙂 These are my favorite heated cold weather clothes.

Rossignol Pure Pro Heat Ski Boots:

HEATED SKI BOOTS! I’m obsessed with these Rossignol Pure Pro Heat boots. My feet would literally go numb when I was skiing they were so cold. It really made skiing miserable for me, and I would only be able to last a few hours at a time before my feet went numb. I got these heated ski boots two years ago and I can’t express enough what a game changer these have been. The batteries last for a full day skiing when used at the highest heat setting. For bitterly cold single-digit days, they don’t make your feet extremely warm, but they take the chill off, so my feet are never cold. Milder days you can really feel the heat, I usually end up turning the heat down on more mild days. I cannot say enough how fabulous these are! I recommend them to everyone.

Heated Vest

I wear my Ororo heated vest under my ski coat. It is like a warm hug when I am skiing.

Heated Jacket

I loved my heated vest so much that I bought both of the heated jackets! The black hooded heated jacket is great for hiking or watching cold sports games, or even for skiing! The fleece heated jacket is great for more mild days by itself and I wear it under my ski coat on really cold days.

Heated Mittens & Gloves

I have always been a big fan of mittens over gloves for skiing. Gloves separate your fingers, making them cold. With mittens, your fingers are all together sharing body heat. In addition, you can put a hand warmer in your mitten and all of your fingers can feel the heat from the hand warmer (with the exception of your thumb. Last year, I received heated ski mittens for Christmas and they were a total game changer! I love them! My husband has the heated gloves and loves them.

Heated Snow Boots

These waterproof heated winter boots are perfect for wearing outdoors in really cold weather.

Vacation Rental Home Essentials

The local vacation rental companies will clear out any food that is left in the house, including condiments like sugar, salt and pepper. They also take away any extra paper products or cleaning items. VRBOs and private rental homes usually leave those items or provide them. The local rental companies will give you two dishwasher detergent pods and a travel size dish soap. If you need more than that, you will need to bring it. Check with your rental before your trip to see what essentials are provided, and to inquire what kind of coffee maker the house has. (Do you need to bring coffee filters and ground coffee or is it a Keurig?)
